Our Music, Bluegrass and Beyond!
Western Lights has recorded 2 CD's, Favorites of Ours in 1999 and Bob Played Here! in 2008. A third to be titled "Bluegrass and Beyond" is planned for 2012. Here you can sample our music from the first 2 CD's as well as what you can expect from the 3rd CD when it is finished. Western Lights would like to acknowledge some fine musicians and very good friends that were part of Western Lights and our first 2 CD's but have since left the band either retiring and/or having moved away. We will be forever grateful for the friendships and wonderful music these folks helped us make. These former Western Lights Band members include: Martha Evins, an original founding member of the band on fiddle and providing wonderful vocals, Gene Mason, great Banjo player with great vocals, Bobbie Kuhn, a wonderful bass player for the band, Arnie Gamble, wonderful dobro player and Jerry Hendrix another talented bass player. All these folks played a part in the making of one or in Martha's case both of these 2 CD's. Many thanks to all of these wonderful musicians and friends of Western Lights!
